RESEARCH
Below are research summaries from studies completed on the TEEN TRUTH LIVE programs.
TEEN TRUTH LIVE: BULLY
In 2008 TEEN TRUTH commissioned San Jose State University to perform an independent study of TEEN TRUTH LIVE: BULLY. On March 5, 2008 TEEN TRUTH producer JC Pohl presented the program to students at a middle school in San Jose, CA. An in-depth study was then conducted by graduate student Tanushree Samanta (under the guidance of Dr. Roxana Marachi, an expert in school violence prevention/research). The study consisted of two sets of interviews with students who had viewed the program. The first interviews were conducted immediately following the presentation and follow-up interviews were conducted 6 weeks after the presentation. The majority of students interviewed retained the message of the program 6 weeks after participating and the students whose teacher also engaged them in video-related curriculum activities demonstrated even greater learning from the program.

TEEN TRUTH LIVE: DRUGS & ALCOHOL
On February 28 & 29, 2008 TEEN TRUTH LIVE speakers Erahm Christopher and David Fernandez presented a pilot version of TEEN TRUTH LIVE: DRUGS & ALCOHOL to two schools in the Northern California area. Students were asked to fill out a 1-page questionnaire following the assembly. The questionnaire focused on the student's opinions about drug & alcohol abuse, as well as their opinions about the program and featured speakers. TEEN TRUTH then commissioned California State University, Northridge graduate student Patrick Reiger to assemble the results and prepare a report.

TEEN TRUTH LIVE: BULLY WORKSHOP
On August 15, 2008 TEEN TRUTH LIVE speaker Erahm Christopher presented a four (4) hour interactive Bully workshop to over 350 individuals from the HEART After-School program administrated by Pro-Youth. The interactive program included a screening of the TEEN TRUTH: BULLY film and a complete interactive workshop featuring the TEEN TRUTH: BULLY curriculum. The workshop included interactive activities and open dialogue discussions. At the end of the workshop, participants completed a 1-page questionnaire that focused on the participants' opinions about the value and effectiveness of the program and the speaker. TEEN TRUTH commissioned San Diego State University student Chelsea Combs to compile the results and prepare a report.
